Heirloom Garden

While we love our goats, dogs and other animals on our little farm! We also love gardening and orcharding! Each year we have expanded our heirloom gardens to include not only our market style gardens but we also grow culinary and medicinal herbs, berries, fruit trees, and grape vines. And...an array of perennials, annuals, and flowering shrubs to help facilitate pollination and life giving habitats for bees, butterflies, and birds. Our desire to nurture and nourish our farm extends to every area and this includes the veggie gardens, fruiting plants, and flower beds. By choosing to take a holistic approach, we do not use any chemicals such as herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers and we practice deep mulching, composting, and regenerative methods that help us better steward the land. We utilize all of our goat/poultry bedding to naturally compost and fertilize our soil which is why we are particularly careful about how we care for and feed our dairy goats, chickens, and ducks. And, this last year, we began the process of learning how to collect and save seeds for our future gardens. This is all extremely gratifying to us and blesses us in immeasurable ways!
Our future goals are to add a green house and to set up an onsite farm stand to sell our extra produce and plant starts.

We're also in the process of learning proper grafting and propagation techniques to expand our orchard and berries in a more sustainable way.
