Trixie
A dog's life...
In late September of 2021 we were visiting friends who were raising the most darling litter of registered beagle puppies!
We'd only had a Golden Retriever for years (and hadn't even considered another dog or dog breed for our farm) but after meeting Trixie and her litter mates it was impossible to resist the temptation to add another doggie friend to our little farm.
After much discussion and another visit to see the puppies, we brought Trixie home.
And she has been such a fun, sassy, and affectionate pup!
Everyone needs a Trixie in their life!
Beagles have completely different personalities than Golden Retrievers and it's been so much fun watching the two of them bond and grow.
Beagles consistently rank in the top 10 of most popular dog breeds.
Some rankings even have them in the top 5 as well.
(Along with Golden Retrievers which are consistently in the top 5.)
Why a Beagle?
They are a smaller dog breed with an easy to care for coat and minimal shedding.
Trixie is very low maintenance in her dog care and grooming.
They love children and are so affectionate and gentle.
They are super happy-go-lucky.
They are very social and loyal and they looove their people!
And although originally bred for hunting...
Their easy going personality and size make them a wonderful family pet and companion.
Which is what they are most commonly used for today.
Although...don't tell Trixie as she loves to "pick up the trail" any chance she can get and "go hunting."
Our kitties aren't too fond of her high tracking tendencies though. Ha.
No quietly sneaking around for them!
In fact as a hunting dog that was bred to be in a pack, they need lots of attention and companionship!
Spending their days and evenings alone would not make a happy Beagle.
Or a happy Beagle owner.
When we brought Trixie home our intention was always to consider and leave the door open for future puppies to be born and raised at our country home.
Remember that part I mentioned earlier about darling puppies?
As a family pet lover and as dog lovers in general. It's been a natural fit for us to enjoy this part of pup life!

2023 Puppies have all been placed...
All of our puppies for this breeding season have found their new families! Thank you so much to all of the families who adopted one of these sweet pups into their homes. We pray that each puppy blesses your family in a very special way!

Additional puppy Information:
Each puppy will be dewormed and have their first set of puppy shots.
Each puppy will be sent to their new home with a "welcome home puppy package" which will include-
A puppy comfort companion that carries the scent of their mom and litter mates.
A comfy cozy puppy blanket.
Puppy training pads.
A puppy chew toy.
A bag of high quality puppy kibble.
The pups are fed Taste of The Wild, High Prairie, Puppy Food.
The puppies are also in the process of working on potty training and kennel/crate training.
We know that there are many differing opinions about kennel/crate training and we strongly encourage this method of training.
Our puppies and adult dogs love the comfort and security of their kennels and having a kennel or crate trained pup for night sleeping, traveling, vet visits and so on is very helpful.
The puppies have been socialized daily since birth spending extensive time with us while also being introduced to the busyness of life at our country home.
They love to play, snuggle, romp, run, and give lots of kisses.
The puppies love to also spend time each day in the beautiful outdoors. They are especially fascinated with all of the swirling, crunchy leaves and finding a nice stick is quite the treasure!
These puppies are a joy to care for and are very much loved!
We've invested deeply in the love and care of these puppies and are blessed to have this time with them.
