Being able to look up milk records for yourself is an incredibly helpful skill to have when you are making purchase decisions. You'll need to go to the CDCB website to get started.
Steps .1 and .2 - Make sure to select "Goat" on the main queries page and from the drop down select "Partial Full Name".
Step .3 - You need a goat to look up. I'm going to use Everly, one of my does, for this. You need to use the registered name, though, not her barn name.
Step .4 - Paste the registered name of the doe into the box beneath the drop-down.
Step .5 - Click the "Run Query" button to the right of where you just pasted the name. That will take you to the main data page for that doe, as you can see in the next picture.
Step .6 - In the top data options bar, you'll need to select "Lactations", which will take you to the Lactation Information.
Step .7 - Here's when all the excitement happens! From here, you can access all the lactations on file for this doe and select which lactation you would like to view. I've selected Everly's 2nd lactation, as you can see. You can see here that for Everly's 2nd lactation, she was in milk for 317 days under the DIM column, and that she produced 1070 pounds of milk, 54 pounds of butterfat, and 46 pounds of protein in that time frame. In the green box, you can see how much milk she produced on each test day and what the concentration of butterfat and protein was for each individual test.
